Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2025-09-03

1. Who we are

Women’s Eleven (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a news website publishing editorial content about women’s soccer, primarily European competitions. Our website: https://womenseleven.com.

2. Data we collect

At present we collect only aggregated analytics and advertising-related data via Google services:

  • Google Analytics: aggregated, anonymous traffic data such as page views, device type, browser, approximate location (city/region level), session duration, and referral sources. Google may process IP-derived data as part of its service.
  • Google Ads / Advertising cookies: we may place or allow advertising tags managed by Google for the purpose of serving and measuring ads. These systems may use cookies or local identifiers to deliver and measure ads and to provide audience insights.

We do not collect user accounts, user comments, payment data, or newsletter subscriptions unless you explicitly provide them through an opt-in process in the future. If we add such features, we will update this policy and obtain appropriate consent.

3. Why we collect data

We use analytics and advertising data to measure site performance, improve content, understand audience trends, and (where applicable) measure the effectiveness of advertising. We do not perform individual profiling for sale to third parties.

4. Legal basis & obligations

As an operator collecting data in Québec, we publish this privacy policy to meet applicable transparency and disclosure obligations. You have rights to request access, correction, portability, or deletion of personal information where applicable under Canadian and Québec privacy rules.

5. Cookies & tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies for analytics and advertising. Non-essential cookies will only be used after user consent where applicable. For details, see our Cookie & Tracking Policy (linked page includes opt-out instructions).

6. Third-party processors

Google LLC acts as a data processor for the services we use (Analytics, Ads). Their processing is governed by Google’s terms and privacy documentation. For information on Google Analytics data handling and opt-out options, consult Google’s documentation and the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

7. Data retention

Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics configuration (default retention: <XX months>). We do not retain individual IP addresses on our servers beyond Google’s processing; Google may retain or aggregate data as described in their policies.

8. Your rights

You may contact us to request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, or portability. To exercise your rights, contact: admin@womenseleven.example. We will respond within applicable legal timeframes.

9. Children

We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child under 13, contact us and we will remove it.

10. Changes

We may update this policy — the effective date at the top will be updated when material changes are made.

11. Governing law

These policies are governed by the laws of Québec and Canada. We respect local language obligations; a French version of this policy is available where required.
